STARSkate Pre-Junior (STAR 1-2) Group Format

Skills introduced in CanSkate are advanced and refined in group lesson format.  All sessions are directed by professional coaches and assisted by advanced program assistants.

The STARSkate program stands for Skills, Tests, Achievement, and Recognition. This two-day program offers opportunities for the skaters to develop fundamental figure skating skills in freeskate, dance, skills and synchronized skating.

The Pre-Junior session is a two day package taught in group format (Thursday, Saturday).  Private lessons are available upon request. 

Qualifications   

It is recommended that the skater have 50% of CanSkate Stage 4 completed.  To be assessed by the Director of Skating Programs.

*STARSkate Pre-Junior (STAR 1-2) Additional Day - Monday

Skaters who are interested in more training can purchase this additional day (after the purchase of a 2 day package) with the focus on figure skating disciplines and the hiring of a Semi Private/Private Coach.  This day introduces independent working habits which skaters will need as they prepare to progress to our STARSkate Junior session.

Qualifications   

It is recommended that the skater have 50% of CanSkate Stage 4 completed.
