Concussion Policy And Rowan's Law Compliance:

NOTL SC recognizes the wellbeing and safety of the skaters, parents, and coaches, the importance to rapidly and appropriately recognize and/or respond to a concussion or suspected head injury.  This Club follows the best practice protocols put in place by Skate Ontario and Skate Canada.

The following policies are accepted upon checkout and a condition of registration:

Liability Policy:

The NOTL Skating Club assumes no responsibility for any accident, loss or injury that may arise from any cause during skating programs.  Skaters will not be allowed on the ice unless the Registration form has been completed and payment in full has been received.

Photography & Publicity Release:

Consent to the NOTL Skating Club for my skaters name, photograph, video image and/or achievements to be released to the media & used in club publications including but not limited to Club Website, Bulletin Boards, Social Media etc.

*If you do not wish your child/ward/skater to be photographed or involved in publicity releases, an email to the skating club at skatenotl@outlook.com or skatenotl_registrar@outlook.com is required with your skater's full name and program to ensure that your request is honoured.

Harness Liability Waiver (StarSkate):

I give permission for my child to use the harness and will not hold liable anyone affiliated with the NOTL Skating Club, arena staff or Skate Canada for any injury, loss or damage that may occur while using this device.

Payment Policies:

For ALL the Learn to Skate programs:  Payment must be made by credit card at the time of registration, and registration for programs is not complete until payment is received.  An invoice will be emailed to your address upon completion.

 For the StarSkate programs: The preferred method of payment is e-transfer.  Please send payment to skatenotl_registrar@outlook.com including skater name and program names/days in the message box.                                        It is mandatory that payment is made at least 3 days prior to the session start to ensure processing time.

In some instances where payment by cheque is necessary, make cheque payable to NOTL Skating Club and submit prior to session start with a copy of the invoice.  All NSF cheques will be subject to a $20 administration fee. Exact cash will be accepted with a copy of invoice as well in a clearly labelled envelope.

There continues to be an option to pay in equal instalments.  First payment due at registration (by September 1), and subsequent 4 instalments are due on the first of the month (Oct, Nov, Dec & Jan).

The Club's Volunteer Bond is due prior to stepping on to the ice.  Please have your post dated cheque prepared and HAND IT TO THE BOARD MEMBER present at your skater's first session.
